1. Protein array analysis of cytokine levels on the macrophage RAW cells - The results of protein array on RAW 264.7 cell line shows that GCSF, IL-6, MCP-1, RANTES, and TNF-a were increased relatively on BJ treated (Table 1 and Figure 1). The GCSF expressions of control and BJ treated (100 and 10 ug/ml) were 3.83 ± 0.10, 6.66 ± 0.57, and 5.51 ± 0.17. The IL-6 expressions of control and BJ treated (100 and 10 ug/ml) were 3.05 ± 0.03, 7.28 ± 0.29, and 3.91 ± 0.90. The MCP-1 expressions of control and BJ treated (100 and 10 ug/ml) were 3.85 ± 0.04, 8.27 ± 0.01, and 7.58 ± 0.24. The RANTES expressions of control and BJ treated (100 and 10 ug/ml) were 3.76 ± 0.00, 5.73 ± 0.77, and 4.19 ± 0.11. The TNF-a expressions of control and BJ treated (100 and 10 ug/ml) were 3.77 ± 0.15, 9.88 ± 0.02, and 7.94 ± 0.16 (Figure 2). 2. Protein array analysis of cytokine levels on the PBMC - The results of protein array on PBMC shows that GRO, GRO-a, IL-5, IL-6, IL-10, MCP-1, RANTES, and TNF-a were increased relatively on BJ treated (Table 2 and Figure 3). The GRO expressions of control and BJ treated (100 and 10 ug/ml) were 1.29 ± 0.06, 8.78 ± 0.27, and 9.45 ± 0.53. The GRO-a expressions of control and BJ treated (100 and 10 ug/ml) were 1.40 ± 0.25, 1.81 ± 0.07, and 3.39 ± 0.41. The IL-5 expressions of control and BJ treated (100 and 10 ug/ml) were 1.40 ± 0.07, 6.72 ± 0.00, and 3.74 ± 0.39. The IL-6 expressions of control and BJ treated (100 and 10 ug/ml) were 1.60 ± 0.03, 1.45 ± 0.14, and 3.85 ± 0.27. The IL-10 expressions of control and BJ treated (100 and 10 ug/ml) were 1.80 ± 0.25, 4.72 ± 0.15, and 5.04 ± 0.95. The MCP-1 expressions of control and BJ treated (100 and 10 ug/ml) were 1.49 ± 0.29, 1.94 ± 0.52, and 2.84 ± 1.05. The RANTES expressions of control and BJ treated (100 and 10 ug/ml) were 1.50 ± 0.05, 4.33 ± 1.08, and 6.01 ± 0.05. The TNF-a expressions of control and BJ treated (100 and 10 ug/ml) were 1.40 ± 0.40, 9.14 ± 0.30, and 7.12 ± 0.50 (Figure 4).
